FROM DISCO LIQUIDS:

THE WINE: A terroir rosé wine, unleavened, pressed at harvest time, made from Grenache (45%), Cinsault (25%), and Carignan (30%). The grapes are harvested by hand, early in the morning, from different plots of vines aged 20-30 years with low yields (30hl/ha).

THE PRODUCER: Jean-Christophe Comor transitioned from a life in politics to a life in the vineyard in 2004, when he purchased a seven-hectare estate in La Roquebrussanne in Provence. He’s since acquired a bit more land and now makes 10 or so wines every year from his 15 organically-farmed hectares. The vines vary in age: the Comors planted some as recently as three years ago, and the oldest vines they work with are about 60 years old.

In addition to the estate wines, Domaine Les Terres Promises also makes a Bandol rosé, which is harvested and vinified within the Bandol appellation in order to comply with appellation regulations.
