MONDAY, JUNE 15: PATRON SAINT BOOK CLUB discusses LIVES OF THE SAINTS

First published in 1985, Nancy Lemann's Lives of the Saints is a recounting of what it means to return to New Orleans, a place of "Violent Love, Breakdowns, Moods, and Felonious Drunkenness." It's a love story and a breakup story, one that plays to the mythos and pathos of our city. It's being released on the occasion of Lehmann's new novel, The Oyster Diaries, her first in 20-some years.

We have copies available for purchase here or in the shop. We'll convene Monday, June 15 at 6:30PM for a lively discussion of the pleasures and pain of a woman in our very own city. No corkage on Mondays + $2 off all the glasses.

  • CRAFT NIGHT: FIRST MONDAY OF THE MONTH

Craft night is for the sewers, the knitters, the painters, the bedazzlers. Bring your ideas + anything you want to trade or donate to someone’s next masterpiece. We’ll have trims and tools up for grabs and plenty of outlets for your glue guns. PLUS, no corkage and $2 off all glasses on Mondays.

  • EVERY WEDNESDAY: MYSTERY WINE and TAROT WITH BIBA

We choose a wine of a single grape variety, and if you guess it, the glass is on us. Plus, let our friend Biba tell you what the stars (and cards) have to say, from 7-9PM.

  • THURSDAY NIGHT FLIGHTS

Three different wines, three different takes on a single theme. (Bonus points if you can tell us which wine you'd marry, which you'd kill, and which you'd take home for the night.)
