MONDAY, AUGUST 17: PATRON SAINT BOOK CLUB discusses YESTERYEAR

A tradwife-influencer thriller that you'll be reading until 2 a.m. or burning through at the beach, Yesteryear braids together the quandary of capitalism, voyeurism, and (anti?)feminism in the psychological portrait of Natalie Heller Mills, an IG-famous personality living on a fantasy-farm of her own devising in rural America. She's the portrait of perfection, performing the role of mother, wife, farm-babe from a different era for the internet to see, until one day, she wakes up in the actual era she's cosplaying. Bouncing between timelines, the story reveals the dangers of performing all kinds of womanhood, no matter how private or public.
