THE WINE: 100% Monastrell. After a soft de-stemming and crushing, the grapes are left macerating for 10 hours, and the free-run juice (locally called “flor”) ferments for a few weeks in tanks. Temperatures do not exceed 16 ºC in order to keep the maximum of the primary grape aromas, youthfulness, and freshness. The wine is bottled after light (vegan-certified) fining and filtration, with a small addition of sulfur.
A brilliant strawberry color. Strawberry and plum aromas. Fresh in the mouth, with tons of fruit, elegant, clean, and pleasing finish. Perfect with anything.
THE PRODUCER: Bodegas Pinoso is a cooperative established in 1932. Today, it’s one of the biggest producers of organic and vegan-certified wine in Spain, with more than 600 hectares under certification. Since 2010, it’s been helmed by female winemaker Ana Amat Sáez. Zillamina wines are made exclusively for us. The colors used on the label mirror the Spanish flag and fierce Mediterranean temperament.
