THE PRODUCER: Terre di Sarizzola is a family-run winery rooted in the Colli Tortonesi region of Piedmont, Italy. Established in the late 1800s by Pietro Penacca, the estate initially focused on small-scale viticulture for family consumption. In the post-war era, Pietro's son Secondo expanded its reach to nearby cities such as Milan and Genoa, setting the stage for the modern winery. By the 1970s, Franco Penacca further evolved the operation, paving the way for Terre di Sarizzola's current focus on quality winemaking.

Today, under the leadership of Mattia Bellinzona, the third generation of the family, Terre di Sarizzola blends tradition with modern innovation. A graduate in Viticulture and Enology from the University of Milan, Mattia has revitalized the estate's winemaking practices while maintaining a deep respect for its heritage. The estate spans approximately 100 hectares, including vineyards, woodlands, and agricultural land, supporting a diverse range of activities that reflect a holistic approach to farming.
