Hors Champs "Maceration Pelliculaire" Languedoc-Roussillon, France 2023

THE WINE: MU is the new vintage, a 10-day skin maceration of muscat petit grain with a few grenache berries from the Col du Loup harvested and vinified by Cyril Fhal. This vintage is of deep elegance and expresses with a delicate touch tasty notes of tasty white-fleshed fruits and orange blossom. A poetic wine that provides intense pleasure.

THE PRODUCER: Hors Champ is the side project of Cyril Fhal, the vigneron behind Clos du Rouge Gorge, and Alice Gendron. Hors Champ began after major drought in 2016 caused substantial crop loss. They worked with neighboring organic growers to create the wines that are Hors Champ. About 4000 bottles were made of the two whites and the two reds that were produced.
