THE WINE: Dark-pink, all-season, good-body rosé. Grenache, cinsault, and syrah come together for a quirky little party that throws down beautifully with all sorts of foods.
THE PRODUCER: Jean-Christophe Comor transitioned from a life in politics to a life in the vineyard in 2004, when he purchased a seven-hectare estate in La Roquebrussanne in Provence. He’s since acquired a bit more land and now makes 10 or so wines every year from his 15 organically-farmed hectares. The vines vary in age: the Comors planted some as recently as three years ago, and the oldest vines they work with are about 60 years old.
In addition to the estate wines, Domaine Les Terres Promises also makes a Bandol rosé, which is harvested and vinified within the Bandol appellation in order to comply with appellation regulations. —from Disco Liquids
